As Co-founder in July 2020, my main roles are also shared with Vicky, and can be best described as:
+ Devising the strategic direction of the business.
+ Business development – which is of course aligned to our strategy.
+ Acting as the Responsible Individual (RI) giving me the responsibility of signing the auditor’s report on our clients’ accounts within our expanding client base.
When we started our business, we spent some time working out our core values and principles, and as a team we ensure that all the business decisions we make are aligned to these, from suppliers, to clients, and staff recruitment.
I think the value that is closest to my heart is ‘Reassure’. For those who know me, I naturally care and collaborate with those people around me. Reassuring for me is the output from building strong and long-lasting business and personal relationships.
When not working I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, teenage daughter, and Buddy our crazy Cockapoo! This typically includes the occasional trip to London to go and see a West End show and for our daughter to wander down Carnaby Street.
I cherish family summer holidays for us all to completely switch off from the pressures of school and work, and properly relax on the beach or by the pool and having some fun together.
My late father taught me to fly fish when I was about 7 years old and have fished regularly since. I often fish a small stretch of river in the heart of the Cotswolds in pristine condition. Rarely do you get a phone signal there either so no calls or emails – pure escapism and relaxation!
I have also been known to get involved in professional rugby players’ testimonial years at Gloucester Rugby Club.
